Hungate was changed on bass by Mike Porcaro, whilst Kimball was replaced by a amount of different limited-expression vocalists, the longest serving of which was Joseph Williams. Following Jeff Porcaro's Loss of life in 1992, he was replaced by Simon Phillips.
